10kV Dropout Fuse with Polymer Insulator

Description & Application

10kV dropout fuse with polymer insulator is installed on the distribution transformer or pole of power line for overload protection and load current switching on/off. It is composed of a main insulating & conducting structure and a fiber glass arcing tube. The stationary contacts are fixed at both ends of the insulating post and moving contacts at both ends of fuse tube, with an arcing chamber and elastic auxiliary contacts to interrupt load current and capacitor current.

Material

1. Fuse tube - epoxy fiber glass with fiber lining coated with special ultraviolet resistant material, the disconnecting switch blade can be here selected.

2. Upper contact - silver to silver, high contact pressure squeezed by stainless steel spring.

3. Trunnion - high strength cast copper, silver plated, and pressed on the side surface of the hinge to ensure the fuse tube alignment while switching-on.
