Description
Galvanized box nails bear resemblance to common nails except lighter and thinner shanks, for example, a 30d common nails has a gauge 5 thickness while 30d box nail's thickness is gauge 9. (The higher gauge corresponds to the thinner nails.)
The thinner shanks reduce the possibility of splitting in the wood due to less wood displacement than common nails. They are designed for light constructions and household usages such as carpentry, framing and box making. However the small size makes it unsuitable for applications where there is a need of high holding power including lumber framing and building supports, etc.
Features:
Diamond shape but slightly blunted points for easy hammering into the wood without splitting.
Smooth and thinner shank reduces wood cracking.
Flat head as common nail.
Electro or hot dipped galvanized to anti-weather.
Ideal for exterior light constructions.
Anti-rust and anti-corrosive.
