Function

Most activated carbon is black powder or irregular granular. It belongs to amorphous carbon. Its carbon atom is cross-linking to each other. So there are many micro-holes in activated carbon which make it possible to adsorb large molecules, such as heavy metal, organics, algae, etc.

1. Purifying water: No mater drinking water or industrial waste water, coconut shell activated carbon is your best choice. It can also be use to adsorb precipitate in spirit making industry.

2. Adsorb harmful gas or other substance: As the rapid growth of people’s awareness on environment protection. Some industrial plants have to take action to remove the H2S, SO2, NO2, or similar waste gas.

3. Adsorb useful materials: Such as gold, chemicals. So it is widely used in gold extraction.

Matters need attention

1 Activated carbon can’t mixed with other hard materials, and don’t step on or give heavy pressure on it, or it may lower the quality of activated carbon.

2 Avoid water or other liquid direct contact or it would lose the ability to adsorb.

3 Be aware of FIRE, it may turn your activated carbon into useless carbon dioxide.

4 Remember, activated carbon can be reused. When you are recycling used activated carbon, try to let out O2, just in case it burns. And you need water vapor to cool down your activated carbon for the same reason.
